BlazingStar Eco-Garden is dedicated to offering innovative ecological garden consulting services and strives to transform dull monoculture lawns. We focus on sustainable garden design, native plant selection, and educating homeowners about holistic gardening practices. By assisting clients to access rebate programs, our goal is to make eco-gardening more affordable. At BSEG we create resilient gardens that require minimal maintenance while effectively adapting to climate change and water scarcity.
We value personalized and site specific design solutions that engage our clients and instill a sense of connection with our local naturalization community. With every project we grow and support a more sustainable business environment and supply chain network.
About the founder
Sascha was born and raised in Berlin, Germany and came to Edmonton to complete his Master of Science at the University of Alberta. He published two scientific papers from his thesis work about the natural regeneration of aspen trees and associated understory vegetation.
He worked in both small and corporate consulting firms advising clients on restoration and naturalization design and implementation. He also managed conventional landscaping and maintenance operations with a detail oriented and client focussed project delivery approach.
In his spare time he likes to spend time with his kids, play sports and volunteer with the Edmonton Native Plant Society or the Alberta Native Plant Council, where he currently serves as the conservation committee chair.
